CrossfireX, Ark: Ultimate Survivor, & More Join Xbox Game Pass in February 2022

Xbox has detailed some of the newest games coming to Xbox Game Pass in February 2022. The list includes some highly anticipated titles like CrossfireX and Ark: Ultimate Survivor as well as a handful of indie darlings like FMV drama Telling Lies and roguelite Skul: The Hero Slayer.

CrossfireX is by far the biggest game releasing on the service. Fans of games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be right at home in this title, as the game plays very similar to that, as well as other popular first-person shooters like Rainbow Six Siege. However, this one appears to be a bit more focused on action like a Call of Duty title. It’s also noteworthy that Control and Alan Wake developer Remedy Entertainment is creating its single-player portion.

A handful of other big games are also hitting the service in February alongside CrossfireX. Ark: Ultimate Survivor, the definitive collection of the extremely popular survival game, is also one of the more noteworthy titles. However, it’s worth noting that the Explorer’s Edition, which only has some of the DLC, is currently on Game Pass.

Telling Lies and Skul: The Hero Slayer are two of the indie titles to keep an eye on. Telling Lies is an FMV game from the developer of Her Story and challenges players to piece together a mystery by searching through leaked footage from the National Security Agency. It also stars actors like Logan Marshall-Green, Alexandra Shipp, and Kerry Bishé. Skul: The Hero Slayer is a roguelite reminiscent of Dead Cells that has players swapping in skull in order to get different abilities. After releasing on PC through early access, this well-received game finally came to consoles in October 2021.
