Far Cry 6 Update Adds Free Rambo Crossover Mission & Support for Third DLC

Far Cry 6 Update Adds Free Rambo Crossover Mission & Support for Third DLC

Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 6 would be getting three free crossover missions. Danny Trejo’s taco truck mission launched in December, leaving the door wide open for the Rambo-inspired mission. And with no warning, Ubisoft has announced that said quest is now live in the game along with support for the third expansion.

Unlike the Trejo mission, this crossover mission called “All In the Blood” doesn’t actually have John Rambo in it. Instead, there is just memorabilia of the character while one of his fans, a man named Silvio Morello, calls the players and gives them a mission after spouting a bunch of lines from the films. Completing the over-the-top, Rambo-inspired mission (that pokes fun at how many people Rambo killed in the movies) unlocks the Vengeance Bow, which shoots explosive-tipped arrows, and Silvio’s Rambo shirt that gives players more LMG ammo.

While the mission itself is free, there is also a premium bundle for sale called the Rambo Superfan Bundle that comes with some Rambo-inspired items. The pack is 1,500 Far Cry Credits (around $15) and comes with Rambo’s tank top strapped with a bandolier, haircut (with his bandana), fatigues, hand wraps, and boots. It also includes a Rambo chibi dashboard prop, flyable helicopter, an M60 machine gun, and a jade weapon charm.

The update that added the Rambo mission and some small quality-of-life changes also came with surprise: trophies and achievements for Joseph: Collapse, the third expansion. This is the final piece of Far Cry 6‘s season pass and is yet another roguelite add-on that puts players in the shoes of an antagonist from the series. This one, as its name implies, lets players take control of Far Cry 5 and Far Cry: New Dawn‘s Joseph Seed. The trophies are nearly identical to the trophies of the last two expansions, Insanity and Control, which implies that this DLC will likely be similar to those other villain-centric episodes.

Ubisoft did not give a release date for Joseph: Collapse and only vaguely stated that it would come out in March, which is probably still the case according to this update. But the game’s menu says “soon,” so it’s possible that it might not hit that month.
