Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is Coming to Switch This September

The critically acclaimed Japanese role-playing game by Level-5 Inc. and Bandai Namco Entertainment Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be coming to Nintendo Switch on September 17.

Fully titled Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom – Prince’s Edition, this new re-release includes the base game and The Lair of the Lost Lord and The Tale of a Timeless Tome DLCs. It will cost $59.99.

Originally released in 2018, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom follows Evan Pettywhisker Tildrum, the prince of the fictitious Ding Dong Dell as he escapes from a coup staged by one of his late father’s advisors named Mausinger. During this moment, in the game’s version of the US, the President of Union named Roland witnesses a missile exploding a city, and suddenly appears in front of the Prince. They both work together to leave the fallen kingdom in order to build a new one.

The game’s “The Lair of the Lost Lord” also released in 2018. It added a labyrinth area, new quests, and new combat options. “The Tale of a Timeless Tome” released in 2019. It also added more combat options, a new story, and a battle arena.

Ni no Kuni II: The Revenant Kingdom is a sequel to the Level-5 developed JRPG Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. It originally launched for the PlayStation 3 in 2013. It finally came to the Nintendo Switch in 2019. If playing on the go isn’t your thing or if you just don’t own a Nintendo Switch, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is also available on PlayStation 4 and PC.
