Synopsis:

This is the complete second season of “Knight Rider”. It aired on NBC from 1983-1984. There are 21 episodes included in this set. The following is from the DVD cover:

“Get ready for more explosive, edge-of-your-seat adventure in all 21 Second Season episodes of television’s hottest crime show, Knight Rider. Ride shotgun with mysterious crime fighter Michael Knight (David Hasselhoff) and the baddest car on four wheels, K.I.T.T., as they chase more elusive criminals in each action-packed episode. Available on DVD for the first time ever, the heart-pounding Second Season of Knight Rider packs even more thrills and more high-speed chases. It’s full-throttle excitement with Michael Knight and K.I.T.T. in the Emmy Award-winning action series that left all others in the dust.”

Knight Rider is not rated.

The Series:

In short, I would only recommend buying the second season of Knight Rider if you already own the first season. It’s more of the same stuff and if you’re going to follow the Knight Rider series, you’re better of starting from the beginning.

This second season does offer a couple of gimmicks, though. It features David Hasselhoff playing Wilton Knight’s evil son Garthe and driving the super-truck Goliath. (If you’re going to have a super car, a super truck can’t be far behind.) The second season also features a cameo by a young Geena Davis. There aren’t really any other noteworthy cameos.

The Extras:

There are no bonus features included on this DVD.

The Bottom Line:

If you already own the first season of Knight Rider, then you’re probably going to want to pick up this second season. It’s more 80’s goodness for Knight Rider and Hasselhoff fans.
