ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive trailer for TexArcanum, an upcoming supernatural western comic series from Dark Horse Comics that’s part Yellowstone, part The X-Files.
What is TexArcanum about?
A clever twist on the real-life town of Texarkana, TexArcanum follows the story of cowboy arcanist Avery Belle as he investigates a land feud between two warring families that could bring upon the apocalypse.
TexArcanum is written by Christopher Monfette, with art done by Miguel Martos, colors provided by Patricio Delpeche, and lettering done by Michael Heisler. The first issue of the four-issue series is set to arrive in stores on July 23, 2025.
In advance, Monfette (who has written for projects like 12 Monkeys and Star Trek: Picard) has created a trailer for the project, with voiceover done by Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys, Star Trek: Picard). Check it out below:
“America is a melting pot for the unknown,” reads the official description of the comic series. “Ghosts and gods, angels and demons, horror stories and tall-tales, they’ve traveled from across the globe to collide here in the rural Heartland… and cowboy arcanist Avery Belle has spent a very long lifetime among them. When a centuries-old land feud escalates into the supernatural, when two warring families threaten a low-country apocalypse, only Belle can unearth the truth. TexArcanum is Yellowstone meets X-Files, Elmore Leonard meets Stephen King, horror-noir in the mystic Mid-West.”
