The ongoing modern C-drama Best Choice Ever released episode 15 on April 15, 2024. It features Yang Zi and Xu Kai in the lead roles. The episode focuses on Mai Cheng Huan (Yang Zi) finding out about her brother’s hardships. Cheng Huan’s mother is upset that their house is falling apart, and they don’t have enough money for renovation. She asks Cheng Huan about Xin Jia Liang (Niu Jun Feng) and urges her to reconsider him. Cheng Huan’s mother advises her to marry a rich man, like Jia Liang, so she wouldn’t have to live a hard life like she did.
Her words upset Cheng Huan. Meanwhile, she can’t stop worrying about money. Her brother comes to her aid and sends her some money to ease her stress. The next day, Jia Liang comes to see Cheng Huan at work. Cheng Huan has no interest in talking to him, but he persists. He apologizes to her and promises to show her respect. But Cheng Huan turns him down, saying that they have already broken up and she has no interest in getting back together.
Jia Liang offers her a job with a higher salary. Cheng Huan admits that the offer is tempting and she is in dire need of money, but she does not want to keep in touch with him. Zhi Ming (Xu Kai) watches the whole situation from afar. He admires Cheng Huan’s courage and diligent nature.

Cheng Huan meets up with a member of the engineering team at a restaurant. She suddenly hears a familiar voice. She is surprised to see her brother there. Cheng Huan’s heart hurts when she finds out that her brother has been enduring hardship, working as a delivery boy.
After reaching home, she decides to confront her brother. Her brother, who has no idea about the ordeal, brags about the cases he has closed that month. Cheng Huan embraces him and breaks down.
In episode 15 of Best Choice Ever, Cheng Huan’s brother finally opens up to her. He tells her how his superiors bullied him at work and practically forced him to quit. Cheng Huan is hurt knowing how her little brother has been suffering all this time. Cheng Huan also opens up about Jia Liang’s job offer. They decide not to disclose any of these to their parents for the time being. The two siblings decide to take care of the expenses together.
Zhi Ming knows that Cheng Huan won’t accept any help from him directly. He visits his grandmother and requests her to talk to her. Meanwhile, Jia Liang’s sister is adamant about him getting back together with Cheng Huan. She texts Cheng Huan’s mother from his phone and apologizes. Furthermore, upon meeting with her, she offers her an apartment for the Mai family to stay at.
The next day, Cheng Huan’s mother invites her friends to the hotel where Cheng Huan works. She lies to Cheng Huan and tells her she is going out with her friends from dance class. She arranges for a party at the hotel. What is she up to?
