The ongoing modern C-drama Best Choice Ever released episode 14 on April 14, 2024. It features popular actors Yang Mi and Xu Kai in the main roles. The episode primarily focuses on Yao Zhi Ming (Xu Kai) helping Mai Cheng Huan (Yang Mi) renovate her house, which has been flooded.
Cheng Huan is worried about the expenses. One of her co-workers visits her and tells her that she has talked with the engineering department for her. They can get it done for her within budget. Cheng Huan is grateful for her help.
It turns out that Zhi Ming had sent the employee to talk to Cheng Huan. He was worried that Cheng Huan might deny taking his help, and he didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable. Furthermore, he even praises her efforts as the supervisor of the floor to his neighbour. He convinces her to show Mai Cheng Huan some appreciation for her hard work.
Meanwhile, Zhu Bao Qiao (Wang Zi Wei) tells Mr. Xin about her pregnancy. She reveals that she has decided to terminate their relationship. This worries Mr. Xin, and he rushes to meet her. He convinces Bao Qiao to have the baby but refuses to marry her. During the heated argument, Bao Qiao pushes him, and he has a stroke.

The tenants of the first-floor show Cheng Huan appreciation by gifting her an honorary banner. Furthermore, the company renews her contract. Cheng Huan thanks Zhi Ming for helping her out. Meanwhile, she receives a call from panic-stricken Bao Qiao.
Cheng Huan tells her not to call her again and cuts the call. Zhi Ming advises her not to get into this mess once again. But Cheng Huan keeps thinking about it and calls Jia Liang to inform him about his father’s situation.
Cheng Huan is a kind woman who can not get everything out of her head. She decides to take the day off and visit the hospital. Zhi Ming once again reminds her to avoid the Xin family’s business. He decides to drive Cheng Huan to the hospital.
In episode 14 of Best Choice Ever, the doctor wants Bao Qiao to sign a consent form to perform an emergency surgery on Mr. Xin. But she panics and runs away from the scene. Cheng Huan calls Jia Liang, who urges her to sign the form on his behalf. Zhi Ming tries to stop her, but she eventually signs the form.
Meanwhile, the Xin family arrives at the hospital. Jia Liang’s sister gets into an argument with Bao Qiao and discovers she is pregnant. She gets angry at Cheng Huan and convicts her of conspiring with her friend against her family. Jia Liang’s sister starts throwing things at Cheng Huan. Zhi Ming comes to her rescue and gets her out of the situation.
After regaining consciousness, Mr. Xin calls Cheng Huan to show his gratitude. He apologizes for hurting her family and wishes to give her a red envelope. But Cheng Huan humbly denies it.
