The ongoing Xianxia C-drama The Legend of Shen Li released episode 29 on April 3, 2024. It features Lin Gengxin and Zhao Liying in the lead roles. The episode focuses on Xing Zhi (Lin Gengxin) saving Shen Li (Zhao Liying) from Fu Sheng’s pursuers. One of the pursuers attacks Shen Li with a water-halting spell. But he is surprised when it doesn’t have any effect on Shen Li. Xing Zhi intervenes, attacks the pursuer with the same technique, and freezes him to the core. He sends the other soldier back with the message that he will visit Fu Sheng very soon.
After they leave, Shen Li praises Xing Zhi’s power and authority over his opponents. She tells him that she has been to many wars, but it is the first time she has seen an opponent be scared of someone’s title. But Xing Zhi disagrees with her. He tells her that his title is of no use. He failed to arrive in time to save Shen Li when she needed him the most.

Shen Li says that she doesn’t want to keep up the act anymore. She thinks Xing Zhi made a mistake by letting the pursuer go, as he will surely report it to Fu Sheng. When Mo Fang took her to the daze, she lost her sense of direction. This man is the only way they can reach Fu Sheng. But Xing Zhi stops her. He tells her that he won’t let her put her life in danger.
In episode 29 of The Legend of Shen Li, Shen Li and Xing Zhi get into an argument as she wants to head back to the immortal realm, but Xing Zhi wants her to stay with him in the mortal realm. Xing Zhi gives her the news that her marriage with Furong has been canceled. They also think that Lord Bicang (Shen Li) has died at war. When Shen Li gets anxious about her broken spear, Xing Zhi lies about mending it to its old state.
Meanwhile, Mo Fang’s soul has completely been engulfed by Fe Sheng. The pursuers bring him the news that Shen Li is hiding in the mortal realm with Xing Zhi. Fu Sheng makes up his mind to go after her.
Xing Zhi takes Shen Li to the snowy mountain to meet an ancient serpent demon, Ms. Jin. Jin uses the charm of seduction. She refers to herself as a female but has the appearance of a man. She uses her powers to heal Shen Li’s wounds and also restore her five senses. Xing Zhi gives her the stars of the extra-natural heaven as a reward.
