Thriller C-drama White Cat Legend has released episode 16 on February 25, 2024. The series follows the genres of mystery, fantasy, and adventure. It features Ding Yuxi, Zhou Qi, Ding Jiawen, and Zhang Yicong in the leading roles. Wang Wei has directed it, and the original broadcasting network of the drama is iQIYI. The drama is an adaptation of the famous manhwa “Dali Si Rizhi.”
White Cat Legend is a period drama set in the Tang Dynasty. It tells the story of Li Bing (Ding Yuxi), who gets appointed as the Assistant Minister of the Dali temple after the Empress recognizes his worth at a night banquet. Following his leadership, a group of temple members allies to uphold justice in the kingdom. They work hard to solve crimes and bring peace to the people of the kingdom.
In episode 16 of White Cat Legend, Ding Yuxi investigated the mysterious death of the Chancellor’s brother. He reached the Qin residence, along with Chen Shi (Zhou Qi), to question the deceased man’s family members. Li Bing found it strange that the Chancellor was not at all remorseful about what happened to his brother. From the servant, Li Bing found out that the Chancellor was very hard on his brother and always pressured him to do better.

The servant also told them that the deceased man used to take five minerals powder, a drug that helped him regain his vitality. But he overdosed, and the Chancellor was aware of this. Meanwhile, the members of the Court of the Judicial Review asked around to find out more information about the deceased man, Qin Wan. However, anyone they asked answered that Qin Wan lacked aptitude but was a good and hardworking person. Also, the Chancellor’s discipline made him a calm and collected individual.
While investigating the case, Shangguan (Ren Min) and Alibaba (Wa Er) found out about a mysterious umbrella maker, and they reached where he lived to question him. They found the man tied up and covered in blood, and the assailant already fled from the scene.
Soon after, the members of the Court of Judicial Review arrived at the crime scene to investigate. A thorough inspection revealed that the person overdosed on the same drug called five minerals powder. Furthermore, Li Bing found Qin Wan’s handkerchief at the scene and some notes left by a loan shark.
Shangguan followed this lead and decided to investigate the loan shark. She found out that Qin Wan was facing money problems, and he put down his qin as collateral. She also found out that the qin was retrieved by a woman the day before.
Li Bing and Chen Shi continued their investigation to gather more information on five minerals powder. They found an essential ingredient of the powder called the guiding drug. Interestingly, it is used as a medicine by Du Zixu, a famous doctor. The medicine is incredible and has magical properties that can even heal a crippled person.
