The ongoing thriller C-drama Judge Dee’s Mystery released a trailer teasing the upcoming episodes 25 and 26. The drama features prominent actor Zhou Yiwei in the lead role. The original broadcasting networks of the drama are CCTV and Youku. Judge Dee’s Mystery is an adaptation of the novel series “Judge Dee” by Dutch novelist Robert Van Gulik.
In this drama, Yiwei plays the role of Di Renjie, a businessman and country magistrate known for his sharp wit and ability to solve crimes. In fact, mysteries follow him wherever he goes. Renjie is a bright man who has cleared all the imperial examinations. Furthermore, he is a loyal admirer of Empress Wu Zetian (Zhong Chu Xi), who dispatches him to a faraway town. Here, he encounters mysterious deaths and conspiracies that he must solve to bring peace and uphold justice.

The newly released trailer shows Di Renjie gazing hopelessly at the city. He mentions that he knows the city so well but this particular place called the Lanfang County is unfamiliar to him and this is where the killer is hiding. He tries to understand the killer’s thoughts behind putting the skull in a paper effigy. Renjie follows a trail of blood and discovers more dead bodies. He comes to the conclusion that the murderer must have come back to take revenge for the old case. He wonders whether Lin Fang is the actual murderer.
