The Banished Former Hero episodes recap
The Banished Former Hero premiered with two episodes. Episode 1 starts with the reincarnated hero Allen being cast out from his family for having no gift. On his travels, he runs into Princess Riese, his former fiancée, and her guard and rescues them from wolves.
They go to the nearest village, where they run into Akira, the current hero, who is trying to save the village from a dragon despite their refusals. Akira partners up with them to save the village from the dragon. She immediately notices Allen’s strength as not ordinary and refuses to give him a chance to end the dragon until she battles. After sustaining heavy injuries, she is saved by Allen and Riese. Allen is able to kill the dragon with his finishing move, shattering his sword in the process.
Episode 2 starts with the discovery that Riese is the rumored saintess who has been healing people. The episode also reveals that Allen’s family is responsible for the dragon and the assassination attempt on Riese. Alice, Riese, and Beatrice go to Granholm to meet a blacksmith to replace Allen’s sword.
When they arrive at her house, she hesitates to make a sword for Allen. However, after seeing the damage to his old sword, she changes her mind and offers to make a weapon that could surpass a hero’s sword. While Noelle makes the sword, he arrives in town and runs into Horace and Mylene, his father’s henchmen, who are looking to kidnap Noelle. The episode ends with Noelle and Allen testing the new sword in the forest, where they run into a Fenrir.
