Classroom of the Elite II Episode 9 Recap
Ryuen learns about Kushida’s bet with Horikita. Kushida is confident she’ll win since Ryuen said he’ll give her Class C’s questions. In exchange, she’ll let Class C win the Paper Shuffle. Meanwhile, Ayanokoji and the others conduct a study session. Sometime later, Ryuen appears and greets them. After the incident, Hasebe suggests the four of them create a group. Yukimura says he disapproves of using nicknames. Hasebe settles with using their first names, but Yukimura tells them to call him Keisei instead of Teruhiko. Suddenly, Sakura runs to them and asks to join the group.
Later on, Ayanokoji and Karuizawa talk on the phone. He asks another favor from her. During the strategy meeting with Horikita and the others, Horikita reports things are going well on their end. Yukimura and Ayanokoji say the same. Kushida expresses happiness over the progress, but Karuizawa shares her worries and doubts. Karuizawa explodes and spills her drink on Kushida’s blouse. Hirata makes her apologize, and Karuizawa offers to clean Kushida’s uniform.
The following day, Kushida submits Class D’s questions to Chabashira. Kushida also asks Chabashira only to pretend to receive the questions in case someone else tries to submit after her. During the Paper Shuffle, Kushida gets an entirely different set of questions than what Ryuen gave her. After the exam, Kushida and Ryuen meet on the rooftop. He explains how Horikita outsmarted her. Elsewhere, Ayanokoji explains it to Karuizawa as well. Ayanokoji is surprised by how well Horikita planned everything without his assistance.
Ryuen grabs the cheat sheet off Kushida’s uniform. Kushida is surprised because the answers are from the questions Ryuen gave her. She insists he betrayed her. But, Ryuen says they’re merely using each other. Kushida and Horikita meet, and Kushida promises to stop sabotaging Horikita. Although, Kushida says she hates Horikita even more now. She emphasizes that the deal only covers Horikita and not other people. Meanwhile, Ryuen vows to hunt down the mastermind, using Karuizawa as part of his threat.
