Demon Slayer to Air Five Compilation Episodes in Japan Next Month

Funimation announced on Tuesday that five special compilation episodes of Demon Slayer will begin airing in Japan in September, giving fans the chance to catch up on some of the best moments of the show.

According to the announcement, two of the compilation episodes will be brand new, with three being ones that have already been broadcasted. The episodes will begin airing in Japan this September, and will act as a way to help fans remember what’s happened so far throughout the story. The five episodes will also include some new key visuals, along with new ending credits and trailers for the future episodes.

The compilations will run from September 11 through September 23, with the five episodes going through every arc from the very beginning all the way Tanjiro’s training at the Butterfly Mansion. Then, on September 25, Demon Slayer – The Movie: Mugen Train will air on television for the first time in Japan, closing out the compilation with the latest in the story of Demon Slayer.

With the highly popular anime set to return later this year, it’s the perfect time for fans to catch up. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba began as a manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020. The anime television adaptation aired between April and September 2019. Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train is a direct sequel to the film. The anime is also being adapted into a video game titled Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles.
