Disney Channel Planning Boy Meets World Sequel Series

The Disney Channel is planning a follow-up series to the hit 1990’s television show “Boy Meets World.” TV Line is reporting that the adventures of Cory and Topanga will continue in “Girl Meets World,” a new show that follows the characters’ preteen daughter.

Created by Michael Jacobs and April Kelly, “Boy Meets World” aired from 1993 to 2000 and starred Ben Savage as Cory Matthews. Beginning with his life as a sixth grader, the series followed Cory through high school, to college and eventually into marriage with longtime love interest, Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel).

Details on “Girl Meets World” are still very few, but the site notes that the network wants to have Savage and Fischel reprise their roles.
