Keiynan Lonsdale Won’t Return as Series Regular for The Flash, Legends

Keiynan Lonsdale Steps Down as Series Regular from The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow

Deadline reports that Keiynan Lonsdale will not be returning to The Flash or DC’s Legends of Tomorrow as a series regular. Lonsdale dons the yellow Kid Flash costume and has been helping the Scarlett Speedster on the popular CW show since season 2.

Wally West will make one last appearance, at least for now, on the season 5 premiere of The Flash and then run off into the sunset. The CW has at least has given comfort to Lonsdale’s fans that Wally West will not be killed off and the door is always open for Lonsdale’s Kid Flash to return to the show.

Following his departure, Matt Ryan (Constantine) is set to reprise his popular take of John Constantine along with Jes Macallan as Time Bureau agent Ava Sharpe as new series regulars on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramo, Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells, and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West. New additions for the fifth season cast include Katee Sackhoff as the villain Amunet Black and Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny, aka Elongated Man.
