XLRator Acquires Ali Larter-starring The Diabolical

XLRator Media has announced its acquisition of the Ali Larter-starring horror, The Diabolical, with plans to distribute under its Macabre label next fall.

The Diabolical is the feature debut of Alistair Legrand and comes from Jamie Carmichael and Ross M. Dinerstein, producers behind indie haunter hit The Pact and underrated found footage oddity Mr. Jones. In the film, Larter stars as “the divorced mother of two children who are awoken nightly in their quiet suburban home by an increasingly strange and threatening presence. She desperately seeks help from her scientist boyfriend, who begins a hunt to destroy the violent spirit that paranormal experts are too frightened to undertake.”

In recent months XLRator and Macabre have released The Mule, the acclaimed black comedy from writer Leigh Whannell and directors Tony Mahony and Angus Sampson, and great New Zealand horror Housebound. The company will also be releasing Michael Polish’s Wes Bentley and Kate Bosworth thriller, Amnesiac.
