Those who read the original book will notice a difference between its print and film incarnation (should the movie ever get made). In the comics, Bloodstrike followed an assassination team who were brought back from the dead through an initiative called Project: Born Again.
Liefeld – who is serving as a producer on the film alongside the production outfit known as 1984 Private Defense Contractors (ooookay) – is putting a twist on the tale by infusing this team of killers with vampire blood. This will make them an elite, unstoppable force.
1984 Private Defense Contractors is spearheaded by Adi Shankar who co-finance The Grey, Machine Gun Preacher and has commissioned an all-female Expendables-type action flick.
