Brea Grant Begins Production on Best Friends Forever

Directing post-apocalyptic film

Brea Grant wears a lot of hats. She’s an actress, a writer…not add director to the list.

The Halloween II and Dexter star – and Choice Cuts guest – is presently in Texas shooting a film called Best Friends Forever. She developed the film with Vera Miao; the two penned the script and also star.

A blog for the project describes the story as a “dark comedy and sci-fi horror film.” In the film, Harriet, the perpetual but unsuccessful optimist, has finally figured out how to take her passion for comics and turn it into a responsible life. But when she and Reba, her seemingly devil-may-care best friend, hit the road to deliver her to grad school in Austin, TX and her new life, an impending nuclear apocalypse endangers even the best friendships and best-laid plans.

Keep tabs on the production via the film’s site right here. Grant is blogging there and sharing pics from the set.
