20th Century Fox has made another Alvin and the Chipmunks movie and it’s coming to theaters under the oh-so-clever name Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip. I’m not sure if you get it, but they’ve replaced the word “trip” with “chip”. They did this because they are chipmunks on a road trip. Still not getting it? Okay, so it’s a way of being “funny”, but associating the characters with the action in the film. Oh here, better yet, it would be the same as if the Magic Mike sequel had been titled Magic Mike: Road Strip instead of Magic Mike XXL… Come to think of it, that might have made more money. Hey, WB, did you ever think about calling it Road Strip?
I feel good saying I haven’t seen a single one of these films and come Dec. 16, I’m quite confident I won’t be seeing this one. Watch, the first trailer below. Or don’t, it doesn’t really matter.
