What I Watched, What You Watched #196

So this week wasn’t as busy as last week, though it was close as I saw The East, The Purge, Violet & Daisy, The Internship and one other film of which you may see a review from me in approximately 36 hours from the posting of this article.

In addition to those theatrical releases I watched the upcoming Criterion’s Blu-ray releases of Safety Last! and Marketa Lazarova, both of which I will be reviewing this week as I’m going to start doing a lot more Criterion Blu-ray reviews going forward and am also considering a new column once a month, recommending one Criterion release for you to buy to help start your own collection of great Criterion titles.

I haven’t yet watched this week’s edition of “Hannibal“, but I will soon enough and I just got word I’ll be receiving the first few episodes of the sixth season of “True Blood“, which I am going to try and cover all season this year.

Other than that, been watching a lot of NBA and Stanley Cup playoffs (last night’s game was phenomenal) and as I type this I’m watching Nadal crush Ferrer at the French Open.

And that’s all for me, now it’s your turn. What did you watch this week?
