The posters for World War Z have all been so glossy and pristine they don’t seem to give off the end-of-the-world vibe the film seems to be going for, and least not in the visceral sense I get the feeling director Marc Forster is/was going for. Instead they just look like recycled posters from Battle: Los Angeles with an air brushed and waxy Brad Pitt Photoshopped in.
The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Mireille Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Andre Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen.
World War Z hits theaters on June 21. Check out the posters below, the second of which is truly awful.
