Overture films has just sent over a pair of images from Let Me In, the remake of the Swedish film that was originally adapted from the best-selling Swedish novel Lat den Ratte Komma In (“Let the Right One In”) by John Ajvide Lindqvist.
The original film earned a lot of attention back in 2008 and fans have been wary of the Americanized version, directed by Cloverfield helmer Matt Reeves. However, the latest performance by 13-year-old Chloe Moretz as the foul-mouthed Hit Girl in Kick-Ass mildly calmed the storm, and today you get your first look at the youngster as Abby, a mysterious newcomer to a small New Mexico town where she meets the bullied 12-year-old Owen, played by Kodi Smit-McPhee who was recently seen in The Road.
Both young actors can be seen in the image above and you can get a slightly larger version right here along with a second picture of Matt Reeves on set.
Let Me In is set to hit theaters on October 1 and co-stars Richard Jenkins, Elias Koteas, Cara Buono and Sasha Barrese.
