Watch: Dawn of the Planet of the Zombies and the Giant Killer Plants on Some Serious Acid

Whether it’s the super-gritty world of flying space whales in The Leviathan or the zany gag-a-minute ’80s pastiche Kung Fury, we’re entering an era where viral trailers are earning raves (and feature funding), and Dawn of the Planet of the Zombies and the Giant Killer Plants on Some Serious Acid is somewhere in between those two. Check it out below!

Alf Lovvold, of Oslo, Norway 3D graphics house Gimpville, created this short 3-minute trailer with a seriously long title, and its tone is a little bit World War Z with a lot of 1950s B-horror movie spirit. Although the title is silly, we could actually see it becoming a legit production, mostly due to Lovvold’s fluidity with staging epic CGI action that rivals just about anything being put into theaters right now.

The director also included a short effects breakdown so you can see all the work that went into crafting this amazing showreel.
