Deborah Ann Woll takes on a terrifying new nightmare in Shudder‘s upcoming horror film The Cycle. The newly released teaser trailer shows ghostly terror, a decades-old mystery, and a disturbing search for the truth. Famously known for playing Karen Page in the MCU, the Daredevil star leads the film as a woman drawn into a horrifying case tied to her own past.
In the upcoming horror film, Woll plays Meg, a woman caught in a supernatural mystery. Police discover the body of a man who disappeared 36 years ago at the scene of a gruesome crime, where two other victims have been mutilated by an unidentified entity.
Meg discovers that the man is her long-lost father. As she investigates his past, she returns to her hometown. In her hunt for the answers, she finds herself trapped in a supernatural nightmare, and the trailer ends with a terrifying warning, “It’s coming for me.”
The film’s synopsis reads, “When the body of a man missing for thirty-six years is discovered at the scene of a horrific crime, it’s up to his estranged daughter to unravel his dark past.”

The film is directed by Jordan Downey, best known for The Head Hunter and for directing the Stowaway segment in V/H/S/Beyond. He co-wrote the screenplay with Kevin Stewart.
James Harris and Michael Downey have been the producers of this horror mystery movie, produced under the Tea Shop Productions banner, the production company behind 47 Meters Down and The Fall.
The Cycle has a runtime of 111 minutes and will be available to watch on Shudder starting October 23, 2026.
