Spider-Man: Brand New Day star Tom Holland has revealed his dream MCU team-up, straight from the comics. The actor will soon appear in his fourth solo Spider-Man film.
Tom Holland’s Marvel comments hint at a possible MCU crossover
During an interview with Medy Renaldy while promoting Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Tom Holland was asked which MCU team-up he’d most like to see for Spider-Man. In his response, Holland replied, “I would like to share the screen with I think Joseph Quinn.”
“They have some really fun stuff in the comics, and I think we’d get on really well,” he added. “That’d be really cool.”
Johnny Storm is an integral part of the Fantastic Four and was played by Joseph Quinn in last year’s Fantastic Four: First Steps MCU movie. Interestingly, Quinn has also previously expressed an interest in sharing screen time with Holland’s Spider-Man.
“That pairing makes sense to me and I think he’s brilliant and I’m up for it,” said Quinn in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year. “I think we’d have a laugh. I’ve never met Tom and I think he’s brilliant; his Peter Parker is the best one ever, I think he’s our best-ever Spider-Man, so why not? Let’s do it, get it moving.”
If Marvel does come up with a crossover moment featuring Holland and Quinn as Peter Parker and Johnny Storm in the MCU, it will be something special for comic book fans. In Marvel Comics, Peter and Johnny share a close friendship with a brotherly dynamic. They have teamed up in numerous memorable storylines over the years.
As for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it’s set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026. Besides Holland in the titular role, it also features Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned. Mark Ruffalo and Jon Bernthal will also appear in key roles, reprising their popular characters of Bruce Banner/Hulk and Frank Castle/The Punisher.
Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is also in the movie, in an undisclosed role. Other key cast members include Michael Mando, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Marvin ‘Krondon’ Jones III.
