Apple TV has unveiled behind-the-scenes footage showing candid moments during production of the hit post-apocalyptic sci-fi series Pluribus. This comes as fans continue to wait for the highly anticipated Season 2.
Pluribus drops hilarious blooper reel ahead of Season 2
Apple TV took to social media on July 21 to share a Pluribus blooper reel. Meanwhile, Season 2 of the series remains in development. Last month, series creator Vince Gilligan revealed during an interview that they were writing the sophomore season and had completed “about a little past the halfway point.” He added, “My writers and I have figured out the episodes.”
As with any blooper reel, the one mentioned above comprises a series of clips showing unexpected moments, hilarious mistakes, and more during the production. As Season 2 hasn’t started filming yet, we can safely assume that these bloopers took place during the filming of Season 1. In the very first clip, we see Rhea Seehorn, who plays the show’s main character Carol Sturka, trying and failing to unlock a pair of handcuffs in multiple takes and breaking into laughter.
In another scene, Seehorn is dancing. Other cast members also appear in the video, including Karolina Wydra, who plays Zosia.
Notably, Gilligan and Seehorn previously worked together on Better Call Saul, the acclaimed prequel to Breaking Bad. Following its debut in November 2025, Pluribus found critical success and currently holds an astounding 99% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It also became a favorite among Apple TV subscribers.
After Apple TV secured rights to what would become Pluribus, the streamer ordered two seasons, ensuring the series would return for another chapter (via Deadline). The next chapter has since received sporadic updates from the cast and crew. Back in June, Gordon Smith, a writer-director on the show, expressed hope that Season 2 would go into production by late 2026-early 2027.
Pluribus Season 2 currently doesn’t have a release date.
