George Santos has been cast in the upcoming season of one of Fox’s toughest reality TV shows. Santos once served as the U.S. representative for New York’s 3rd congressional district. However, Santos pleaded guilty to wire fraud and identity theft following an investigation by the House Ethics Committee.

A new report from TV Line has revealed that George Santos is joining the cast of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season 5. Following his conviction, Santos was sentenced to 87 months in prison, but the sentence was commuted by President Donald Trump three months after he started serving it.
The upcoming season will put several celebrities through demanding military-style training exercises.

The upcoming season will bring the contestants to a Malaysian jungle. “Recruits must adapt to uncomfortable conditions, unpredictable terrain and harsh jungle warfare tasks, including a claustrophobic, high-pressure search of an underground bunker to find crucial military weapons; a supply load retrieval while suspended 300 feet above the jungle floor,” reads the synopsis of the new season.
That’s not all, as the contestants will also have to face off against and evade “chemical gassing”. Their training exercises will be led by Directing Staff (DS) Rudy Reyes and ex-special forces operatives Billy Billingham, Jason “Foxy” Fox, and Jovon “Q” Quarles.
Gia Giudice won the last season of Special Forces, beating out tough competition from Shawn Johnson East and Brianna LaPaglia at the top. Contestants will only be able to leave the show voluntarily or as a result of an injury. Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test is produced by Minnow Films. Becky Clarke, Liam Humphreys and Dave Sutton serve as executive producers.
Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season 5 will premiere on Fox on September 24, 2026.
