The movie cast of It Follows 2 has expanded with 10 new actors, including a star from Daredevil: Born Again. The sequel to 2015’s original psychological horror film is being helmed by David Robert Mitchell, who also made the highly successful first part.
Who has joined the cast of It Follows 2?
It Follows 2 has added Daredevil: Born Again TV show’s Michael Gandolfini. The actor is also known for his work in other projects, including Warfare, The Many Saints of Newark, Cat Person, and more.
Further, Jackie Earle Haley, who’s mostly known for featuring in horror titles, has also joined Mitchell’s horror sequel.
Eight other notable names have joined the ensemble cast of It Follows 2. They include Justine Lupe (Succession), Anna Mirodin (Ivan, The Legend of Juan Jose Mundo), Jayne Taini (Unbelievable), Tom Pecinka (Stereophonic), Melora Walters (Magnolia), Ben Krieger (Song Sung Blue), Natalie Shinnick (The Brutalist), and Jan Hoag (The Fabelmans, Destroyer), reports Deadline.
Moreover, these stars join the previously announced cast members of It Follows 2, namely Maika Monroe, who will reprise her role of Jay from the original.
Last month, Naomi Ackie was confirmed to be a part of the upcoming film. The actress will appear in DCU’s Clayface movie and is known for her performances in The End of the F***ing World, Master of None, Lady Macbeth, Mickey 17, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, among others.
It Follows 2’s story will take place 10 years after the events of the first installment. Back in 2015, the original became a critical and commercial hit. Made on a budget of just $2 million, the film made over $20 million worldwide. On Rotten Tomatoes, it currently holds a stellar Tomatometer score of 95%.
It Follows 2 has yet to receive an official release date window. The production of the movie is expected to begin this summer.
