Alien: Earth Season 2 has added several notable actors to its cast. The 1979 film Alien spin-off series from Noah Hawley was critically acclaimed after its first season debuted in 2025. Its upcoming second season recently added a Game of Thrones alum, making this week’s casting announcements especially exciting for fans of the fantasy series.
Who has joined the Alien: Earth Season 2 cast?
Tracey Ullman, Sam Spruell, and Jerome Flynn have joined the cast of Alien: Earth Season 2 (via Variety). With Flynn’s casting, the show will reunite two Game of Thrones stars, as he previously played Bronn on the fantasy show. Besides Game of Thrones, Flynn has appeared in 1923, The Dark Tower, Ripper Street, and more.
Ullman is best known for The Tracey Ullman Show and has won seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Most recently, she appeared in the TV series Elsbeth and is also set to appear in Ella McCay. She will be next seen in the upcoming season of Ted Lasso and Disney’s Hexed.
Spruell has also worked in the Game of Thrones universe, appearing as Prince Maekar Targaryen in last year’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Before that, he also worked with Hawley on the Fargo series, where he played Ole Munch.
Alien: Earth has earned four nominations at the 78th Emmy Awards. The series takes place before the 1979 original film. The series received critical acclaim upon its debut, with the new season teased to include an exciting twist. However, those wishing for a Predator crossover may need to turn their attention elsewhere. Following Alien: Earth, Hawley will also helm the upcoming Far Cry series for FX, an adaptation of the Ubisoft video game series.
Alien: Earth Season 2 is currently in production in London. FX has yet to announce a release date for the new season.
