The new Star Wars trailer for an upcoming TV show will please popular Disney+ series fans. The new show is part of a fresh lineup of limited series inspired by the galaxy far, far away.

What do we see in the new Star Wars TV show trailer?
After revealing the teaser yesterday, Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi has dropped its official trailer. It’s going to be a limited anime series from Lucasfilm and Production I.G.
The latest Star Wars trailer for the anime series shows Kara continuing her quest for her father. She is a girl sensitive to force, living in a distant, post-apocalyptic future. This world is completely devoid of lightsabers and the Jedi Order.
It appears this limited TV show will be ideal for Star Wars: Visions fans, an animated anthology series that’ll also return with a fourth season in the near future.
The Ninth Jedi is basically a Visions spin-off, exploring stories of characters previously shown in the anthology series. However, these stories are not part of the greater Star Wars universe.
Besides The Ninth Jedi, the Star Wars franchise has one more animated TV show lined up. Based on Darth Maul, the main antagonist of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, the TV series is titled Maul: Shadow Lord.
Taking place after The Clone Wars, Maul: Shadow Lord will also bring back Sam Witwer as the voice of Darth Maul. At the moment, most of its plot details are under wraps. However, Lucasfilm’s vice president of animation, Athena Portillo, had previously shared her happiness about Witwer’s return.
“Unfortunately, I can’t tell you too much, but what I can say is Sam Witwer’s involvement in the show has been pristine. I’m very excited about him being able to review the scripts and provide input in all of that as well.”
Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi will release on Disney+ on August 5, 2026.
