Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is coming back with a ‘resurrected’ cast member. The character played by the MCU star is still under wraps in the upcoming Paramount+ series.
Who has been cast in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2?
According to Deadline, Krysten Ritter, best known for her role as Jessica Jones in the MCU, returns in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2. She was also in the first season and played Mia or Lady Vengeance, a serial killer who was killed while in jail. But since her character died in Season 1, whether she’ll appear in flashbacks or as a new character remains under wraps.
Since Dexter is not new to bringing people back from the dead or mysterious twins, fans are confused by this casting. Many fans even question whether Lady Vengeance’s death in Season 1 was real.
Uma Thurman was previously set to return to Season 2, reprising her role as Charley. Other returning cast members include Jack Alcott, James Remar, Desmond Harrington, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Sarif, Dominic Fumusa, David Zayas, and Eric Stonestreet. New additions include Brian Cox as The New York Ripper, Dan Stevens as The Five Borough Killer, Bokeem Woodbine as Captain Mixon, and Nona Parker Johnson as Fiona Mixon.

Dexter: Resurrection is a sequel to the original series, continuing the story after Dexter Morgan survives a gunshot wound inflicted by his son, Harrison. He relocated to New York in search of his missing son, but was found by Miami Metro’s Angel Batista and was drawn into the secretive society of serial killers.
Clyde Phillips serves as the showrunner and executive producer of the show. Other executive producers include Michael C. Hall, Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. There is no official synopsis for Season 2, although Phillips claimed the second season may be out in October 2026. No official date has been confirmed yet.
