Netflix’s popular Cyberpunk anime reveals its second teaser trailer ahead of an awaited return. The show is based on CD Projekt Red’s famous open-world video game Cyberpunk 2077.

What do we see in the new Cyberpunk trailer?
The second teaser trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 shows that the next chapter introduces new legends built around fresh characters in the same Night City. In the latest teaser trailer, a character named Roman Carax, a cinephile, is seen filming scenes of blood, angst, and despair throughout the city.
The upcoming season is a result of a collaboration between animation studio Trigger and CD Projekt Red. It acts as the next anthology series following the events of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 1, which made fans emotional.
When the first season came out in 2022, it became an instant hit and also attracted fans of the video game. Season 1 of the Netflix TV series currently holds a phenomenal and perfect 100% Tomatometer score and a stellar 95% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has already unveiled its posters, giving a closer look at the characters who will play an integral part in Season 2. Besides Roman, fans will also see three other new characters, namely Weak Kingsley, D, and Talia Yang.
According to the official logline, “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 presents a new standalone 10-episode story from the world of Cyberpunk 2077— a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge. In a city that thrives in the spotlight of violence, one question remains: when the world is blinded by spectacle, what extremes do you have to go to make your story matter?”
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 will feature 10 episodes, similar to the first installment. The anime has Bartosz Sztybor as its showrunner.
While an exact date is yet to be confirmed, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 will premiere this fall.
