Daredevil Star Is ‘Advocating’ to Fix 1 Big Bullseye Problem in Season 3

Marvel fans may finally get the Bullseye costume they have been waiting years to see. After the explosive ending of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, actor Wilson Bethel opened up about Bullseye’s future, his unstable mindset, and the possibility of a more comic-accurate suit appearing in Season 3. The actor shared that he is pushing for the change himself.

Wilson Bethel would love a comic-accurate Bullseye suit in Daredevil: Born Again

Bethel revealed that he also wants Bullseye’s black-and-white comic costume to show up in the MCU. Speaking with The Direct, the actor said fans should “absolutely keep hope alive” about seeing another suit upgrade in Season 3. He pointed out that Daredevil’s costume has evolved several times across the series, adding that “there’s a lot of room for evolution.”

The actor even directly sided with longtime Marvel fans. “I’m on your side. I am advocating for that too,” Bethel said while discussing the possibility of Bullseye getting a design closer to the comics. Season 2 already introduced a blue comic-inspired suit, but many viewers still want the classic black-and-white version.

Bethel also explained Bullseye’s mindset after the Season 2 finale. During the final episodes, Benjamin Poindexter attempted to kill Wilson Fisk with a sniper rifle but accidentally shot Buck Cashman instead. According to Bethel, Bullseye was absolutely aiming for Fisk because, in his mind, Kingpin deserved it. “It’s about him settling scores,” the actor explained.

The finale also pushed Bullseye into morally unclear territory. After helping stop Fisk’s assassination attempt on Governor McCaffrey, Dex began seeing himself as someone who had “balanced the scales.” Bethel said the character now believes he has crossed over to the good side, though he warned fans not to trust that feeling for too long because Bullseye remains “deeply unstable.”

Season 2 ended with Dex sitting beside Mr. Charles, teasing a dangerous new alliance connected to Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Bethel hinted that the partnership could turn Bullseye into “a mean a** gun for hire,” opening the door for even darker stories in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3.
