Landman Season 2’s finale finally arrived on January 18, 2026, giving a glimpse at Tommy’s life after being fired from M-Tex. But the finale also added a tribute to Judy Ann Prachyl, sparking curiosity amongst the fanbase. Here’s how Judy Ann Prachyl was connected to Landman.
Who is Judy Ann Prachyl, and how is she connected to Landman Season 2?
Judy Ann Prachyl did not have a direct connection to Landman in any form. This may make it difficult for fans to identify her. But the finale of the second season featured a title card at the end of the episode that honored Prachyl. She passed away on December 18, 2026.
The series described her as the “nursing home OG,” and revealed that she hailed from Weatherford. Taylor Sheridan, the creator of the series, also hails from the same place.
Judy Ann Prachyl is a close friend of the Sheridan family, especially sharing a bond with Taylor’s wife, Nicole. Her remembrance detailed that she had a career at Weatherford Independent School District, where she served in administrative capacities. She also dedicated time as a volunteer at St Stephen’s Catholic Church.
Her memorial noted that Judy was “known for her vibrant personality and beautiful smile.” It further noted that “her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind, and her impact on her community will forever be felt” (via The Mirror).
The tribute also made a reference to Taylor Sheridan’s wife. “The family would like to give a special heart-filled thanks to Nicole Sheridan, Traci Werne-Morrison, and Johnny Holt for the love and care they had for Judy during the last few years,” it added.
Judy was an admirer of Landman and Taylor Sheridan’s acclaimed series, Yellowstone.
Landman will be back with Season 3, where it will continue the story of Tommy, who is now exploring a new direction.
