A popular new TV show on Prime Video recently received an exciting update about a potential Season 3.
The Night Manager, a spy TV show starring Tom Hiddleston, is likely heading toward a third season. During an interview with Variety, The Night Manager Season 2 director Georgi Banks-Davies revealed that plans for a third season have begun.
What is the update for Tom Hiddleston’s The Night Manager Season 3?
“There was a third season that was always in the offing,” Banks-Davies said. “David is writing it now — he’s at the coalface and in the early stage. But yeah, when the second season came, the plan was to go to three. So when you see our whole series, you’ll see it can sit entirely alone but can also sit very much as the second book in the trilogy.”
In The Night Manager Season 2, Hiddleston reprises his Golden Globe-winning role as Jonathan Pine, a former British intelligence operative. The cast includes Olivia Colman, Diego Calva, Camila Morrone, Indira Varma, Paul Chahidi, Hayley Squires, Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe.
“Jonathan Pine (Hiddleston) thought he’d buried his past. Now living as Alex Goodwin – a low-level MI6 officer running a quiet surveillance unit in London – his life is comfortingly uneventful. Then one night, a chance sighting of an old Roper mercenary prompts a call to action and leads Pine to a violent encounter with a new player: Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos (Calva).
“On this perilous new journey, Pine meets Roxana Bolaños (Morrone), a businesswoman who reluctantly helps him infiltrate Teddy’s Colombian arms operation. Once in Colombia, Pine is plunged deep into a deadly plot involving arms and training of a guerrilla army. As allegiances splinter, Pine races to expose a conspiracy designed to destabilize a nation. And with betrayal at every turn, he must decide whose trust he needs to earn and how far he’s willing to go before it’s too late.”
The Night Manager Season 2 is created by David Farr, based on characters from John le Carré’s novels. Banks-Davies directs all six episodes.
The first three episodes of The Night Manager Season 2 will air on Prime Video on January 11, 2026. New episodes will then be released every Sunday until the finale on February 1.
