Ted Season 2 Gets Peacock Release Date & Photos

Peacock has announced the release date for Ted Season 2, the highly anticipated next installment of the hit comedy prequel. In addition, the streamer has also shared the official photos from the new season, providing fans with a first look at the main cast’s return.

“It’s 1994, and senior year of high school is underway for Ted the foul-mouthed teddy bear and his best friend, likable but awkward John Bennett. Together they live in a working-class Boston home with John’s parents (Matty and Susan) and cousin (Blaire),” reads the official synopsis. “Matty is a blustering, blue-collar Bostonian who sees himself as the unequivocal boss of the house and doesn’t like anyone challenging him, particularly his liberal-minded niece. Susan is kind, selfless, and almost pathologically sweet when it comes to caring for her family. Blaire is an outspoken college student who often finds herself at odds with her more traditional-minded relatives.”

When is the Ted Season 2 Peacock release date?

All eight episodes of Ted Season 2 are scheduled to premiere on Thursday, March 5, 2026, exclusively only on Peacock. The ensemble cast includes Seth MacFarlane as the voice of Ted, Max Burkholder as John, Alanna Ubach as Susan, Scott Grimes as Matty, and Giorgia Whigham as Blair.

The series serves as a prequel spin-off to Mark Wahlberg’s popular comedy franchise. It is written and executive-produced by showrunners MacFarlane, Paul Corrigan, and Brad Walsh. Executive producers are Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark, and Aimee Carlson. It is a production by UCP.

“We’ve made a second season of our show, Ted, which we are excited to share with you. The episodes represent the hard work of our fellow writers, gifted actors, and talented crew, including the visual effects team, who bring the character of Ted so convincingly to life,” the showrunners said in a statement. “We hope you enjoy these eight somewhat filthy, hopefully funny, heartfelt episodes about a young man, his talking teddy bear, and their highly dysfunctional family. On the off-chance the series is not your cup of tea, a great way to get us back is to leave all the episodes playing to completion on multiple devices throughout the house. That’ll show us.”

The first installment broke records for the streamer. It became Peacock’s most-watched original title and was the #1 Original Streaming Comedy in the U.S. for more than two consecutive months (per Nielsen). Recently, it has been confirmed that the franchise will continue to expand with an upcoming Ted animated sequel series, with Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried reprising their lead roles from the live-action movies.
