Netflix Orders Highly Anticipated Nickelodeon TV Show Spin-off

Netflix has officially ordered a spin-off series to a fan-favorite Nickelodeon show of the past, reviving it in a brand new home.

What Nickelodeon TV show is getting a spin-off?

Victorious, the 2010 Nickelodeon series led by Victoria Justice, is officially getting a spin-off series. The new show, called Hollywood Arts, will be led by Daniella Monet, who played Tori Vega’s older sister, Trina, in the series. The rest of the series will include Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze, and Martin Kamm. Yvette Nicole Brown will also be a guest star on the show.

According to Netflix, Hollywood Arts will run for 26 episodes, and debut on Netflix sometime in 2026 before being followed by Nickelodeon and Paramount+ at a later date. Production on the show is set to begin this month.

“In this all-new series, struggling actress Trina Vega (Daniella Monet) returns to her former high school, Hollywood Arts, as an unqualified substitute teacher, quickly finding herself both clashing with and unexpectedly inspiring a new generation of ambitious and talented students as they learn to find their true path at Hollywood’s most elite performing arts school,” reads the official logline for the show.

The original Victorious ran for four seasons after it premiered in 2010 and also kickstarted the careers of several major stars, including Justice, Ariana Grande, Leon Thomas III, and Elizabeth Gillies. It’s currently unclear if any of the original cast besides Monet will appear in the series, however.

“Coming back as Trina alongside such a dynamic, powerful cast of newcomers is something I feel very lucky and grateful to do,” said Monet in a statement on the show’s announcement. “Victorious was in a lot of ways life changing for all of us, our cast is forever bonded by that experience, and to think that I have an opportunity to steward anything close to that is a feeling I can’t begin to describe. As an actress, producer, and mom, I am so eager to create something we can all be proud to share with the world.”
