Peacemaker fans claim Season 2 intro is ‘incredible,’ but not better than Season 1
Following the debut of Peacemaker Season 2 on HBO Max on August 21, 2025, fans have taken to social media to voice their preference for “Do Ya Wanna Taste It” over “Oh Lord.” Wig Wam, a Norwegian glam metal band, released “Do Ya Wanna Taste It” as a single and part of their third studio album, Non Stop Rock’n Roll, which was released in 2010. Foxy Shazam released “Oh Lord” as a single and as part of their self-titled studio album, also released in 2010.
@dcuworld took to X (formerly Twitter) to criticize the Peacemaker Season 2 intro. “Yeah i still prefer Peacemaker S1 intro,” they wrote.
@zerowontmiss wrote on the same platform that they didn’t care what others said, “Peacemaker Season 1 intro is still the best intro in the whole series.”
According to @mrperfighting, “2nd is good but 1 was something special.”
@BongoTett seems to have a different opinion from the rest. They shared that the new intro is “genuinely so good,” adding that it may not have the “same energy as S1’s,” but it matches the “more somber, introspective” tone of Season 2 hinted at by the first episode.
@JV1I3N_ apparently agreed with @BongoTett’s opinion to a degree. “Yeah, the intro for Peacemaker S2 is f—— incredible, not better than the first, but still nonetheless amazing,” they shared. “I think mainly the song choice is what throws me off a bit, but it’s easy to look past that.”
Peacemaker Season 2 will stream weekly on Thursdays on HBO Max. The next episode, “A Man Is Only as Good as His Bird,” debuts on August 28, 2025.
