Yes, WWE PLEs Are Leaving Peacock – All Details Listed

WWE’s premium live events are leaving Peacock, but have found a new streaming home. After the closure of WWE Network, the events moved to Peacock for the US audience. While Peacock was a comparatively reasonable option for users, the new application WWE is moving to is likely costlier.

So, here’s everything you need to know about why WWE is shifting from Peacock and how much viewers can expect to pay going forward.

Are all WWE PLEs leaving Peacock?

Yes, all WWE PLEs, including WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam, are leaving Peacock. They will exclusively stream on the ESPN streaming service.

The news broke on Wednesday, August 6, when ESPN announced that WWE will move to its streaming service, starting in 2026 in the US for the next five years. ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro said, “WWE has an immense, devoted and passionate fan base that we’re excited to super-serve on our new ESPN DTC platform. This agreement, which features the most significant WWE events of the year, bolsters our unprecedented content portfolio and helps drive our streaming future.”

ESPN’s streaming service will be launched on August 21, 2025. Users will be required to pay $29.99 per month to access the WWE content. The current introduced price is way more costly than what users paid to WWE’s previous streaming service, Peacock. Its subscription costs $10.99 per month, excluding taxes, but it proved useful for viewers who were committed to the service and enjoyed a mix of entertainment and sports. Now, with the newly introduced prices for ESPN, users will have to pay $360 per year if they want to keep watching WWE content.

As of now, there’s no update on the fate of WWE archives. However, there are speculations that WWE’s partnership with Google could lead to the archives making their way on YouTube. The current shift of WWE PLEs from Peacock to ESPN is likely to affect only fans based in the US. The rest of the global population can continue accessing the events on Netflix.
