What do we know about Lilo & Stitch 2?
Plot details for Lilo & Stitch 2 remain under wraps at this time. Given that the first movie is a remake of the 2002 animated film, it’s possible the live-action sequel could be an adaptation of one of the animated sequels — either 2003’s Stitch! The Movie or 2005’s Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch — but this has not been confirmed at this time.
There’s also no word on if Fleischer Camp will return to direct the sequel or if anyone involved with the first movie will be returning. No release date has yet been set.
The cast of the 2025 Lilo & Stitch movie further includes Zach Galifianakis as Dr. Jumba Jookiba, Billy Magnussen as Agent Wendell Pleakley, Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles, Amy Hill as Tūtū, Tia Carrere as Mrs. Kekoa, Kaipo Dudoit as David Kawena, and Hannah Waddingham as the voice of the Grand Councilwoman. The screenplay comes from Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes, while Jonathan Eirich and Dan Lin serve as producers.
Lilo & Stitch has become a huge, money-making hit, as it has currently grossed approximately $914.4 million at the global box office. It is currently the third-highest-grossing movie of 2015 behind Netflix Zha 2 and A Minecraft Movie.
Lilo & Stitch is currently playing in United States theaters.
