Batman: Concept Art Emerges for Canceled Game Starring Damian Wayne

Concept art for Project Sabbath, a canceled Batman project from WB Games Montreal, has emerged once again. This time, a good look at the game’s protagonist, Damian Wayne, is shown.

Canceled Batman Arkham project was set 10 years after Batman: Arkham Knight

A recent X post from Batman Arkham Videos shows several new pieces of concept art from the canceled project. The first picture shows an unmasked Damian Wayne, Bruce Wayne’s son and the person to take up the mantle of Batman. As previously reported, Project Sabbath is set 10 years after Batman: Arkham Knight, which is why Damian looks older than in more traditional depictions of the character.

Also featured in the post is an old Bruce Wayne sporting a grey beard and walking cane. Portrait shots of the well-known villain Killer Croc are also shown and look a bit different than his appearance in previous Batman Arkham games. There is also a full model of the Huntress shown. There is another character shown, but it is unknown who it is portraying. Some X users believe it is Dollmaker, who had a pretty notable storyline in the New 52 run of Detective Comics.

Concept art for Project Sabbath has been revealed previously. Back in 2021, a fully suited Damian Wayne in Batman garb was shown, giving huge Batman Beyond vibes thanks to the red, skinny bat logo. Additionally, a fully suited Bruce Wayne in a slightly modified Batman Arkham outfit was shown.

Video games based on DC characters have not seen much success in recent years. WB Games Montreal’s Gotham Knights was released back in 2022 and received mixed reviews. More notably, Rocksteady released Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in 2024 and flopped. Earlier this year, WB canceled its Wonder Woman video game project and closed the doors of its developer, Monolith Productions.
