Murray Hill: Hulu Wins Rights to Mindy Kaling Comedy Series

According to Deadline, Hulu has successfully acquired the rights to Mindy Kaling’s newest comedy series, Murray Hill, in a competitive bidding war against multiple buyers.

The streamer has given Murray Hill a script-to-series commitment. This marks the reunion between Kaling and Hulu after over six years since The Mindy Project concluded its six-season run in 2017.

What is Murray Hill about?

“The series revolves around five work-obsessed twenty-somethings who strive for professional success and, if they have time, personal happiness in Manhattan’s most glamorous neighborhood, Murray Hill,” reads the logline.

Murray Hill is written and executive produced by Kaling as part of her overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. Howard Klein and Jessica Kumai Scott are set as executive producers.

This won’t be the only TV show that Kaling is currently working on. At the moment, she’s also producing an untitled Basketball series for Netflix. Her shows on Max are also coming back for new installments, including The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 3 and Velma Season 2.
