Ark: Paramount+ Drops First 6 Episodes of Star-Studded Animated Series

Paramount+ has unexpectedly dropped the first six episodes of Ark: The Animated Series based on Studio Wildcard’s action-adventure video game Ark: Survival Evolved.

This comes after over a year since the long-delayed TV adaptation had debuted its official trailer. The series will start streaming in all Paramount+ international markets on Friday, April 19. As for the remaining seven episodes of Season 1, it will debut at a later date which has yet to be announced.

“It is a sweeping saga spanning eons of human history,” reads the logline. “When 21st century paleontologist Helena Walker finds herself resurrected on a mysterious primeval island populated by prehistoric beasts, she must learn to survive with new allies from throughout time, while trying to uncover the true nature of their strange new world.”

Who’s involved in Ark: The Animated Series?

ARK: The Animated Series hails from executive producers and action movie stars Gerard Butler, Russell Crowe, and Vin Diesel, who are also lending their voices to the adaptation. Written by Marguerite Bennett and Kendall Deacon Davis, the series will also feature fully-orchestrated music by Gareth Coker.

The star-studded ensemble cast also includes Michelle Yeoh as Meiyin Li, Karl Urban as Bob, Jeffrey Wright as Henry Townsend, David Tennant as Sir Edmund Rockwell, Monica Bellucci as Cassia Virila, Madeleine Madden as Helena Walker, Elliot Page as Victoria Walker, Deborah Mailman as Deborah Walker, Zahn McClarnon as Thunder Comes Charging, Devery Jacobs as Alasie, Cissy Jones as The Gladiatrix, Malcolm McDowell as Senator Lucius Cassius Virilis, Juliet Mills as Chava, Ragga Ragnars as Queen Sigrid, Alan Tudyk as The Captain, and Ron Yuan as Han Li.

The first six episodes are now streaming on Paramount+.
