Thai star Yaya Urassaya Sperbund celebrates her 31st birthday today (March 18, 2024). The Lakorn (Thai TV) star is among the most prominent names in the Thai entertainment industry. Yaya has been honored with several accolades during her acting career. In 2023, she won the Nataraj Award for Best Actress for Bad Romeo.

Neung Nai Suang

Neung Nai Suang (Only You in My Heart) stars Yaya as Poom and James Jirayu Tangsrisuk as Neung. The Thai Drama premiered on May 28, 2015. Neung, the son of an elite family, falls for Poom, a girl with no parents, at first sight after coming across her at a party. However, Neung isn’t aware that the two share a history, but he’s forgotten her. When they were young, Neung looked down upon Poom for not having parents. Therefore, she profoundly resents him in the present day and rejects his dance offer at the party. Neung then decides to make Poom fall for him after the “embarrassment.”

Kleun Cheewit

Kleun Cheewit (Waves of Life) premiered on January 23, 2017, on Channel 3. Jeerawat (Yaya) is a popular model constantly troubled by her stepfather. One day, the man tries to drug her. However, she manages to run away but ends up hitting a woman on the road while driving. Sathit’s (Mark Prin Suparat) world is turned upside down after his fiancee dies in an accident. The lawyer then decides to go after and take revenge on the woman behind the accident. Things take a turn when Sathit gets more involved with Jeerawat’s life and learns about the truth. His heart begins to melt as he gradually falls in love with her.

The Crown Princess

Yaya Urassaya’s Thai Drama The Crown Princess premiered on May 14, 2018, and stars her alongside her real-life partner, Nadech Kugimiya. It revolves around Princess Alice Madeleine Theresa Phillips (Yaya), whose life is in danger following her coronation. For her protection, the princess is sent to Thailand. She comes across Lieutenant Commander Davin Samuthyakorn (Nadech), appointed as the Princess’s bodyguard. And thus begins their love story.

Notably, this on-screen pairing transformed into a real-life romance for Yaya and Nadech. The two got engaged last year. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Bad Romeo

Bad Romeo premiered on July 20, 2022, and follows the forbidden love story of Saikim (Yaya) and Kaokla (Mario Maurer). The two are deeply in love with each other, but face challenges as Saikim come from a privileged family, while Kaokla has a criminal background. Things take a turn when the two reunite again after seven years.

Thai Cave Rescue

Yaya Urassaya’s Thai Drama Thai Cave Rescue is one of her finest on-screen performances and hit Netflix on September 22, 2022. The series is based on a 2018 real-life event when twelve boys from a football team, along with their coach, got trapped inside a cave in Thailand. What was a fun getaway for the team turned into a life-threatening affair. It then led to a massive international rescue operation that the whole world had their eyes on.

Love at First Night

Love at First Night is an upcoming Thai Drama set to premiere on March 25, 2024. It follows the story of Mueang (Mark) and Apo (Yaya) and their chance encounter when they share a romantic night. The rom-com gets complicated when Mueang discovers that Apo is his father’s fiancée.
