Please Don’t Feed the Children: Giancarlo Esposito Joins Destry Allyn Spielberg’s Thriller Movie

According to Deadline, Better Call Saul vet Giancarlo Esposito has signed on to join the upcoming thriller titled Please Don’t Feed the Children, which serves as the feature directorial debut of Destry Allyn Spielberg.

The Emmy nominee will join previously announced cast members Michaelle Dockery, Joshuah Melnick, Emma Meisel, Dean Scott Vazquez, Zoe Colletti, Regan Aliyah, Andrew Liner, and former NFL star Vernon Davis.

What to expect in Please Don’t Feed the Children?

“A gang of orphans travels to the south in quest of a new life after a viral outbreak decimates the adult population of the nation, only to find themselves at the mercy of a psychotic woman who is hiding a perilous secret,” reads the logline.

Spielberg will direct from a screenplay written by Paul Bertino. Please Don’t Feed the Children is produced by by Jason Dubin, Josh Kesselman, and Michael Hagerty.

Before making her feature-length directorial debut, Spielberg previously directed two short films including 2019’s Rosie and 2022’s Let Me Go the Right Way. In addition to filmmaking, she had also acted in 2020’s I Know This Much Is True miniseries for HBO and Paul Thomas Anderson’s coming-of-age movie Licorice Pizza.
