Michael Myers Revisits His Past Victims in Halloween Kills Final Trailer

Universal Pictures has debuted the final trailer for David Gordon Green’s highly-anticipated horror sequel Halloween Kills, starring original final girl Jamie Lee Curtis as she reprises her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who’s now dead set on hunting down the unkillable Michael Myers. The film recently had its world premiere at the 2021 Venice International Film Festival, and is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters and on Peacock on Friday, October 15.

The Halloween Kills final trailer features new footage highlighting Myers’ trip down memory lane as he completes some unfinished kills by revisiting his past victims including Kyle Richards’ Lindsey Wallace, Nancy Stephens’ Marion Chambers, Lonnie Elam, and Tommy Doyle, who all previously survived an encounter with Michael Myers in the 1978 original film. The video also highlights the town’s unity in stopping him for once and for all, with Laurie determined to take his mask off in order to see life leave his eyes.

Halloween Kills is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay he co-wrote with Scott Teems, Danny McBride. Joining Curtis are Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Thomas Mann, Anthony Michael Hall, Dylan Arnold, and Robert Longstreet. It will also feature the return of franchise alums Kyle Richards, Nancy Stephens, and Charles Cyphers.

“Minutes after Laurie Strode, her daughter Karen and granddaughter Allyson left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor,” reads the official synopsis. “But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster. The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.”
