The Game Reboot Set for Paramount+ Starring Tim Daly & Toby Sandeman

The Game, a comedy-drama that originally aired on The CW and BET from 2006-2015, is getting the reboot treatment, with Entertainment Weekly reporting that Paramount+ will host the new show.

According to the report, actors Tim Daly and Toby Sandeman have signed on and been cast in the updated version of the series. Daly will play Col. Ulysses S. Thatcher, a “self-made billionaire,” with Sandeman set to play Garrett Evans, a football player who is at the top of the league during the show’s time.

The Game returns with a mix of new players and original cast to offer a modern-day examination of Black culture through the prism of pro football,” reads the longline from the television show. “The team will tackle racism, sexism, classism, and more as they fight for fame, fortune, respect, and love — all while trying to maintain their souls as they each play The Game.”

The series will reportedly premiere on November 11, 2021, and will run for a 10-episode first season. Entertainment Weekly also reports that Coby Bell (Walker) will reprise his role as Jason Pitts from the original series. Brittany Daniel and Pooch Hall, both stars from the original series, will also reprise their roles as Kelly Pitts and Derwin Davis, respectively.
