Victoria Justice and Adam Demos to Star in Untitled Netflix RomCom

Victoria Justice and Adam Demos, known for their roles in Victorious and Sex/Life, respectively, have signed on to star in an untitled romantic comedy, according to a recent report from Deadline.

The Netflix film, which is set to be directed by Stuart McDonald (Summer Heights High, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), and centers on a Los Angeles wine company executive that travels to an Australian sheep station to land a major client. Once there, however, she ends up having to work as a ranch hand and sparks up a romance with a local.

The film will be shot on location in Queensland, Australia. Elizabeth Hackett and Hilary Galaxy are writing the film, with Robyn Snyder, Deborah Evans, Deborah Glover, and Tracey Vieira producing the film. Tracey Robertson is executive producing the film, with Nathan Mayfield, Elizabeth Hackett, Hilary Galaxy, and Fernando Szew also attached as executive producers.

“This new Netflix film is the latest in a string of domestic and international productions continuing to fuel the state’s screen boom which is critical to our economic recovery,” said Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk. “This project is a strong example of how our Production Attraction Strategy benefits Queensland’s local screen sector via exciting co-production arrangements for local businesses, such as Hoodlum Entertainment, one of the state’s most successful production companies.”
