Watched at Home: Top Streaming Films for the Week of May 8

Now we’re talking! After what felt like an eternity atop DEG’s Watched at Home Top 25, Wonder Woman 1984 finally met its match: The Little Things. The thriller starring Denzel Washington, Raimi Malek, and Jared Leto snatched the crown after debuting at No. 9 two weeks ago and dropping to No. 10 last week. The massive jump is even more surprising considering new releases such as The Marksman and Minari, the rise of Oscar heavies Nomadland, Judas and the Black Messiah, and the sudden increase in Yellowstone interest.

Aside from that news, it was business as usual for this week’s list. A running story worth mentioning however is the astounding longevity of Harry Potter. The boy wizard has cracked the Top 20 practically every week over the last year, maintaining its presence even while films such as Tenet and Sonic the Hedgehog come and go. For a franchise that folded a decade ago, that’s mighty impressive.
