Disneyland Previews Captain America: The Living Legend and Symbol of Courage Exhibit

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s presence at Disneyland in Anaheim, California continues to grow with the park today previewing its latest attraction, an exhibit titled “Captain America: The Living Legend and Symbol of Courage.” Timed to coincide with the theatrical release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the attraction is housed in the park’s Innoventions building inside Tomorrowland, where it joins “Iron Man Tech Presented By Stark Industries” and “Thor: Treasures of Asgard.”

ComingSoon.net/SuperHeroHype was on-hand for the grand opening and you can check out our gallery of photos from all three exhibits in the viewer below.

Decked in patriotic colors, “The Living Legend and Symbol of Courage” falls on the opposite side of the Iron Man exhibit from Thor and, on the outside, features a wall dedicated to the life of Steve Rogers and a timeline of events leading from his birth up until, “Captain America faces his greatest challenge yet when he encounters a mysterious new enemy known only as the Winter Soldier.”

A line forms leading into the exhibit’s center, taking parkgoers through a small loop that has them pass, at the entrance, Cap’s original uniform from the 1940’s and, at the exit, a variety of prototype shields that frame a worn and beaten take on the iconic version. The woman introducing the exhibit said that it had been donated by Rogers “following his battle with the Winter Soldier.”

Inside the loop, however, is the attraction’s main draw. There, a suitably charismatic Captain America Disney Cast Member greets fans with a salute and a smile. The best part is, the guy has really done his homework as far as the part goes. During our visit, we heard him become convincingly confused when someone started talking about hashtags and he even spoke at length to one visitor about his love of illustrating (a comic book detail only briefly hinted at in the first film).

“Captain America: The Living Legend and Symbol of Courage” opens to the public March 7 with no end date having been announced. It could very well be that Marvel’s Disneyland presence will continue to expand with every big screen release!
